We love so many shops and restaurants throughout the village. Take a long walk around to check them out!
There are many beautiful courses around Vail Village. Plan ahead as tee times book up fast.
On Sunday morning, Vail Village will fill with many vendors starting at 930am. There will be about 140 tents with dozens of local artists selling their creative pieces to tons of food options. Really cool way to end the weekend and pick up some gifts and souvenirs!
Our guests staying at The Lodge at Vail receive 20% off of their services. Just tell them you are there for our wedding.
We love Timberline tours. Their 'Shoshone Rapids' trip is gentle with a couple of easy rapids and more of a nice float. We saw many families with kids on this trip. The water levels will be relatively low in August, so the rapids should not be too wild anyways.
If you plan ahead, they will work with you on picking you up and dropping you back up from an agreed-upon location so that you don't have to drive to Glenwood.
To get to Piney River Ranch, you have to drive for ~45 minutes up a narrow and very bumpy mountain road (literally driving up a mountain). Turn your GPS on before you begin so that loss of cell service won't interfere with your directions.
The ranch also has a restaurant and bar.
They have canoes, and you can also fly fish.
The hike is ~6 miles round trip to the top of a waterfall.
Rent a mountain bike, take it up whichever gondola, and ride down the mountain. When you get to the top you can also bike across to the top of the other village and then ride down.
Check out the attached website to see the official biking map.
On top of the Lionshead gondola, there are many rides available for kids. Check out the website to see all that they have!
